The Salem Rats

Love in Misunderstood Packages!

                          Our Little Angelic Rats!

This page is dedicated to our rats that have passed away.  We will remember them always, as each one has touch our hearts in their own unique way!

 Brisby

She was our first rat, a brown hooded.  We got her at a local pet store, not knowing what to expect.  She soon became a member of our family and we still miss her to this day... love you Briz!

 Banshee

Bansh was Brisby's best bud from the moment we got her.  She as a blue dumbo eared cutie, born on Halloween 2005.  She was known for trying to fly off counters and beds, just like superman, or so she thought!

 Isabella

Her nickname was Booch and was mommy's favorite!  She was my little brown rat.  She was sweet, sassy, and has a lot of attitude.  When she didn't want kisses, she would block you with her foot.  She had a huge personality for such a little exterior!  Love you Booch!

Tilty

The Tilter was a black hooded rat.  She had a very bad ear infection when she was a baby which left her permanently tilted, which is how she got her name.  She was cage mates with Harley  and loved to play tackle with her.  Tilty loved perching on Josh's shoulder.

Nessie

Ness Ness was a gray hooded rat.  She co-existed with Teresa.  I say that because sometimes they could be found fighting, but I didn't separate them because they also could be found snuggling.  They had a love/hate relationship.  Nessie was a very photogenic rat and as she got older she became more and more lovable.

 Nutmeg

Nut was a very unique looking rat, usually the most popular with people.  She was a dumbo eared rex rat with long wiry whiskers and coloring that resembled that of a ferret.  She loved to hop around the couch.  Her body had a cute pear shape to it.  We got Nut from a breeder along with one of her cage mates, Wednesday!
