The Salem Rats

   Pheobe

Pheobe is a dumbo eared cutie!  She is very sweet and loves to climb on shoulders.  She is definitely the runt of the group, but has the biggest ears!! 

 Esmerelda

Esme is a brown rat we often refer to as our swamp rat, reminding us of a wild rat.  She was suppose to be snake food, but when the snake decided it didn't want to eat her, she was rescued and later came to us after giving birth to a surprise eight babies!!   

 Tink

 Tinky is a cute blue rat and may have some rex in her.  She is a very frisky rat, loves to run around and play!  She'll only take food in her cage - guess she is trying to watch her girlish figure :). 

 Anabelle

Anabelle is one of our newest rats.  She is a black hooded dumbo eared beauty.  She is still a little shy, but is very frisky.  Playing and chasing the other girls is her favorite thing to do.

 Wednesday

Day is another dumbo eared rat.  She is a black rat and loves to scamper across the couch.  She plays hide and seek in blankets and likes to be chased.  She is definitely one of our most playful rats.  Day is the smallest of her cage mates and tends to get jumped on a lot, but when it comes to food, she takes what she wants and no one can get it back from her! 

 Lucifer

Lucy is a very big boy and super friendly.  He had an ear infection when he was a baby, which left him with a permanent head tilt.  He is still so cute and he doesn't even know he is tilted.  He loves to hop and jump on the couch at play time. 

 Harley

 Harls is a cute dumbo eared rat.  She has one red eye and one black eye, making her very unique.  Harley loves running on her wheel, at all hours of the night I might add.  When we walk in to the rat room, Harley won't be ignored and immediately will start chewing her cage to get your attention.  Once spotted, you can't resist scooping her up to cuddle.

 Matilda

Tilda is a cute little girl.  She was all white with black eyes when we first got her, but as she grows she is getting patches of gray.  She is a jumper and loves to leap onto piles of clothes.  It's hard to get a good photo of her because she is such a bright white.  She keeps her hairless friend Pig warm on cold nights. 

Piglet

 Piggy is a a dumbo eared Hairless rat.  We have been told that she is so ugly that she is cute, but I simply think she is adorable.  She has the biggest ears of all our dumbo rats, but she is just a baby so she has time to grow into them.  Even though she is hairless, she still has patches of random peach fuzz.

 Teresa

Little T is our by far sweetest rat.  She is very friendly to everyone and anyone.  If you look at her face, it is full of expression and love.  She is a wheel runner, which not all rats are.  She likes her wheel noisy and can be heard running on it at all hours of the night.  She has proved the theory that the silent spinner wheel is not silent!
